During 2022/23, Worcester Play Council is supporting locally based community groups and organisations in Worcester City with small grants of up to £500 to develop and deliver play sessions for children aged 0-16 years. These grants are to support high quality and inclusive play, including: activities, resources, play schemes or events.
To apply, as a community group or organisation, you need to complete the application, setting out what play activities you want to put on and what you see as the benefits and impact of your play activities for local children and families. You also need to provide details of the cost of the play activity, and what you will spend the grant on. The grants do not cover staffing costs, or room hire, where organisations are using their own premises and staff to run activities.
If you are successful, you will be asked to keep all original receipts for all major purchases and complete a brief evaluation of the impact of the small grant on your play activity. Worcester Play Council can support you with promotion, best practice guidance, procedures and consent forms etc. if you require this.
